REGIONAL RACE PROGRAM
A program intended to assist in the transition from
the fundamental stage of skill development to the train-to-train
stage. Another goal of this program is to provide a competitive
series for 11-17 year old skiers, which requires less travel
and time commitment than the provincial K1 and K2 series.

K1 MOUNTAIN SERIES (PROVINCIAL RACE) PROGRAM
The K1 series is a provincial program introduces the train-to-train
stage of skill development. The program provides a competitive
series which allows racers to test their skills against
their peers at a provincial level. The K1 series also develops
ski specific physical and mental skills and continues to
develop the technical skills learned in Nancy Greene.

K2 MOUNTAIN SERIES (PROVINCIAL RACE) PROGRAM

stage and to prepare the athlete for more intensive training
and competition at the junior level. The program provides
a competitive series which allows racers to test their skills
against their peers at a provincial level. The K2 series
also develops ski specific physical and mental skills and
continues to develop the athletess technical and tactical
skills.
